Pumpkin Tag

Good Afternoon Everyone! Today I want to share with you a Pumpkin Tag that I made! (Created with a pattern from LSHD.)

To make my tag first I just selected a tag base from the Cricut Image Library. I then uploaded the pattern for the pumpkins and sized them to fit my tag. Once I had my design finalized I cut out all of the pattern pieces with my Explore. I then inked and chalked all of the paper edges to add dimension and shape. After that I assembled all of the pattern pieces and attached them to my tag base. I then tied some various Halloween themed ribbons to the top of my tag. I also added some different shades of sequins to accent some of the Fall Leaves and embossed the pumpkins with my Big Shot. To finish I added all of the highlights with a white paint pen. Scarecrow Layout

Hello Everyone! Today I want to share with you a Scarecrow Layout that I made! (Created with a pattern from LSHD.)

To make my layout first I cut my mats and frames from various patterned card stock. I then uploaded the pattern into Design Space and sized the images to my desired height. Next I cut out all of the pattern pieces with my Explore. I then inked and chalked all of the paper edges to create dimension and shape. After that I assembled everything and attached it to my layout. Next I used the stamp set called Little Pumpkins from Pretty Cute Stamps to stamp the little pumpkin faces! On An Adventure Box Card

Hello Everyone! Today I want to share with you a On An Adventure Box Card that I made! (Created with a pattern from LSHD.)

To make my card first I created the box card base out of basic shapes in Design Space and welded them together and then added score lines. Next I uploaded the pattern and sized the images to fit my card. I then cut out all of the pattern pieces with my Explore in plain card stock. After that I inked and chalked all of the paper edges to add dimension and shape. I then assembled all of the paper pieces and attached them to my card base starting with the very back and moving towards the front of my card creating the scene as I went. Cactus Blossom Watercolor Painting

Hello Everyone! Today I want to share with you my most recent Watercolor painting titled Cactus Blossom!

 

I created this painting for a monthly art swap that I participate in! I used Arches 140 lb watercolor paper and Lucas Artist Grade watercolors. I used the following colors: Opera Rose, Alizarin Crimson, New Gamboge, Yellow Green, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna, and Sap Green. To start my painting first I sketched the image of the cactus directly onto my watercolor with a HB pencil. I then used the wet into wet method to paint the cactus and petals of the cactus blossom. I then created a stencil with my Explore on a thin plastic sheet for the darker brown floral accents. I took a cosmetic sponge and just lightly dabbed it into the burnt sienna watercolor pigment and then dabbed it onto the stencil after I positioned it into my desired placement on my painting. I then removed the stencil and let everything dry. To finish I used Tim Holtz distress ink to finish the edges of my painting! Thank you so very much for stopping by and have a wonderful day! -Mindy

Sushi Box Card

Hello Everyone! Today I want to share with you a Sushi Box Card that I made! (Created with patterns from TBD and SVGCF.)

My Brother's Birthday was coming up, and he loves everything Japan, Sushi, and Kawaii, so I thought that this Sushi Box Card would be perfect for him! To make the box card base I just welded basic shapes together in Design Space, and then attached score lines. After that I uploaded both of the patterns that I wanted to combine! I then sized the images to fit perfectly inside my box card. Next I cut out all of the pattern pieces in plain card stock and patterned paper with my Explore. After that I inked and chalked all of the paper pieces to create dimension. I then assembled everything and attached each character to my card base starting with the very back layer of my scene. I just worked my way towards the front creating my scene, and layering as I went. To finish my card I added the highlights with a white paint pen. Thank you so very much for stopping by today! My Magical Moments Birthday Box Card

To make the box card base, I just welded basic shapes in Design Space and then attached score lines. Next I uploaded the pattern and sized the images to fit my box card. After that I cut out all of the pattern pieces with my Explore in plain card stock. I then inked and chalked all of the paper edges to create dimension. Next I assembled everything and attached the characters to my card base. I started with the very back layer and continued adding the pattern pieces working my way to the front layer to create my scene. To finish I added all of the highlights with a white paint pen. Fall Turtle Applique Onesie

Happy Monday! Today I want to share with you a Fall Turtle Applique Onesie that I made! (Created with a pattern from LSHD.)

I decided that I wanted to try something a little bit different with this adorable pattern! To make this onesie first I cut out the turtle pattern in card stock. Next I traced the pattern onto felt. I then cut out all of the felt pieces and used a permanent ink to ink all of the edges to add dimension. I then started sewing each piece on with a blanket stitch starting from the back layers and then working my way to the front. After that I hand sewed on some sequins and beads as well as some little bows to accent the turtle and add some texture. To finish I used white fabric paint to add the highlights. I just love that these patterns can be used in so many different ways! This applique technique would even be adorable to add to a quilt or baby blanket!
