Hello Everyone! Mindy here with you today to share with you a step-by-step coloring tutorial of the brand new Gnome Marci Rubber Stamp from La-La Land Crafts.

Here is what you will need...

Plus...
Blending Cardstock
Momento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
White Gel Pen

Copic Markers:
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, RV21, RV000
 Hair: E35, E31, E50, Y00
Red: R59, R27, R35, R22, R20
Green: G17, YG09, YG06, YG11
White: C5, C3, C1

Step-by-Step:
Step 1: First stamp Gnome Marci onto your choice of blending cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink. Next with your Copic E04 followed by E11 add the darkest shadow areas to your stamped Marci image as shown below.

Step 2: Using first E21 and then E00 go over the shadow areas that you previously colored and extend your shading further down for each color used as shown below.

Step 3: Next using first E000, and then E0000, continue to shade over the previous shaded areas and extend the shading for each color used. Finish by coloring over the entire colored skin sections with your E0000 to blend your skin tones seamlessly.

Step 4: To give Marci her pink cheeks, add first your darker pink RV21 to the edges of Marci's cheeks. Then before the RV21 dries blend RV000 on just the edges of the RV21 towards the inside of Marci's face to give shape and depth to her cheeks.

Step 5: To color Marci's blonde hair, start by adding in the darkest detail lines with your E35, next go over those lines and extend further down her hair with E31.

Step 6: To finish the hair go over the same lines and extend them a bit further with E50. Then go over just the darkest shadow areas of Marci's hair with Y00 to add contrast and make the hair stand out.

Step 7: Using R59 followed by R27 add shading to the darkest shadow areas of Marci's hat, and shirt. Before adding shading to the hat, lightly draw in the mushroom circle pattern to the top of Marci's hat with a pencil. Once you are done adding the shading around your drawn circle pattern go ahead and erase your pencil markings.

Step 8: To finish the hat and shirt, go over the same colored sections extending them a bit further each time first using R27, then R22, and lastly R20 until you create a smooth blend.

Step 9:  Using G17 followed by YG09  add shading to the darkest shadow areas of Marci's shoes, hair ties, and overall straps.

Step 10: Next go over the shaded areas you just colored with YG06 and then YG11 extending your shading a bit further each time to create a seamless blend as seen below. Finish by adding a few dots to the shoes with G17 for some added texture and interest.

Step 11: Using C5 followed by C3 add shading to the darkest shadow areas of Marci's overalls, and the circles on Marci's hat.

Step 12: Next go over the areas you just shaded with first C3 and then C1, extending further each time to create a seamless blend. Then add some texture to the overalls by adding some small dots along the sides using C5 as seen in the photo below.

Step 13: To finish add your details and highlights with a white gel pen.

I just Love the new Gnome Marci, she really is so much fun to color! The possibilities really are endless, and she could fit so many different scenes and occasions just depending on how you color her.

La-La Land Crafts- Jolly Elves Shaker Ornament Tutorial

Hello Everyone! Mindy here with you today to show you how to create these easy and fun Shaker Ornaments using the super Adorable New Jolly Elves Clear Stamps from La-La Land Crafts.

Here is what you will need...

Plus...
Bakers Twine
Pencil
Foam Tape
Double Sided Tape
Precision Tip Glue
Distress Inks in: Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, and Blueprint Sketch
Various White, and Silver Sequins
White Watercolor Paper
White Glitter Cardstock
Blending Sponges
Clear Acetate for shaker window

Step-by-Step:
Step 1: First Cut 2 of the largest Pierced Scalloped Circles from plain white watercolor paper. Also Cut 1 of the second largest Stitched Nested Circles from white glitter cardstock. Next center the second largest Stitched Nested Circles die in the middle of one of your Pierced Scalloped Circles (adhere the die with washi tape so that it does not shift during cutting.) and run it through your die cut machine. Then position the wavy Double Stitched Hill Border on the bottom of the white glitter cardstock Stitched Nested Circle, adhere with washi tape, and then run through your die cut machine.

Step 2: Position the Large Pierced Scalloped Circle frame you just created over the second full Pierced Scalloped Circle and use a pencil to lightly trace around the inside edge of the frame. Next remove the top frame and line up the second largest Stitched Nested Circle die to the traced line edge and run through you die cut machine just like we did for the first one to create 2 perfectly aligned scalloped frames. Then Cut 2 of the largest Stitched Nested Circles from clear acetate for your shaker windows. Also Cut 1 of the large Stitched Tags topper from plain white watercolor paper.

Step 3: Cut 2 of the largest Stitched Nested Circles from plain white watercolor paper. Next align the second largest Stitched Nested Circle into the center of the large Stitched Nested Circles you just cut. Adhere the die with washi tape, and run it through your machine to create a total of 2 frames.

Step 4: Stamp the elves from the Jolly Elves Clear Stamps onto 110 lb. plain white cardstock, color with your choice of medium, and fussy cut them out.

Copic markers used:
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, RV21, RV000
Red: R59, R27, R35, R22, R20, 0
Green: G17, G05, YG09, YG06, YG11, 0
White: C5, C3, C1

Step 5: Also Cut the following extra embellishments from plain white watercolor paper as from these dies: Cut 1 Christmas Lights, Cut 3 candy canes and Cut 1 round peppermint candy from the Gingerbread House Add On. You should now have all the pieces cut as shown in the photo above.

Step 6: Glue the 2 Acetate Circles into the center of the 2 Pierced Scalloped Circle frames.

Step 7: Add one small rectangle of foam tape to the top of the ornament on the inside. Next fold the tag topper in half and glue it together for extra strength. Then press the folded tag topper onto the foam rectangle causing it to stick, you will then cut another foam tape rectangle the exact same size and place it right ontop of the first rectangle, sandwiching the tag topper between them. Next apply 2 layers of foam tape the rest of the way around the Pierced Scalloped Circle frame. (Be sure to not leave any small gaps otherwise the shaker contents could fall out.) You will then fill your shaker with your sequins of choice.

Step 8: Remove the foam tape protective lining, position the second Pierced Scalloped Circle frame over the top of the shaker window, and then press together to seal your shaker. Next add Bakers Twine to the top of your ornament, and tie it off.

Step 9: Blend Distress Ink in Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, and Blueprint Sketch onto the top half of each Large Stitched Nested Circle frame. (2 per ornament.)

Step 10: Glue the large blue and white Stitched Nested Circle frames to the front and back of each ornament.

Step 11: Color in the details of the die cuts with your choice of coloring medium. Next cut the Christmas Lights in half to use on both ornaments.

Step 12: Attach the elves and round peppermint candies with foam tape for some added dimension. Then glue the glitter snow hills that you cut with the Double Stitched Hills Border to the bottom center of each ornament. Next glue the candy canes, and Christmas lights to the front of the ornaments as pictured below.

These Jolly Elves Ornaments are so fun and easy to make, and are the perfect addition to your tree, or can be used as a gift, or make the cutest gift toppers too!
